Atlanta, GA – The Safe America Foundation is pleased to announce the following will receive special awards at the Spring Symposium on April 26-27, 2018:
Lt. General Russel Honore’ is receiving an award for for helping Puerto Rico recover, and his leadership at stimulating wireless firms to restore communications in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.
The American Red Cross will receive an award for its leadership in managing hurricane relief efforts, and assisting Safe America in responding to Hurricane Maria.
The UPS Foundation will be recognized for its work in the relief effort in Puerto Rico, and disasters worldwide.
Crawford & Company CEO Harsha Agadi will be awarded for initiating a relief effort for Safe America in Puerto Rico for victims of Hurricane Maria.
First Lady of Puerto Rico Beatriz Russell’ will be awarded for leadership in recovery efforts after Hurricane Maria, and for helping to launch the Unidos Por Puerto Rico relief foundation.
Secondary support awards will be given to The Home Depot and W. M. Barr & Company for their assistance with relief supplies sent to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. In addition, AMR (American Medical Response) will be recognized for its work in helping innovate transportation for opioid and human trafficking victims. The company is donating an ambulance to Safe America for its HUMANS CARE program.
“Helping save lives is the importance of Safe America,” noted CEO Len Pagano. “The awards we’re presenting are a modest acknowledgement that through people like Harsha Agadi, Ed Martinez and Russel Honore’, our country has saved many lives.”
The Spring Symposium – themed ‘Spring-into-Action!’ – will focus on key topics that are challenging our nation – and the world. “Our goal is to look at issues and determining ‘what’s next’ in terms of future efforts,” noted CEO Len Pagano. “Our mission is educating people on health and safety issues to save and protect lives.”
